Point-spreading and confidence-based IRAT

In this approach, students are given four points based on four answer choices and they “bet” on different answer choices.  If they are full confident they might “bet” 4 points on one answer.  If they are guessing between A and B they might put 2 points on A and 2 points on B.  If they have no idea they might point one point on each answer choice.

This allows faculty more information to determine if student are getting questions right, whether they are guessing, or whether they really know and are confident in the answer.

InteDashboard™ allows educators to easily implement this approach for the IRAT.  In 2018, InteDashboard™ will use approach to pilot adaptive pre-work delivery.
